Food Programme

The One Vision Food Programme helps break the cycle of poverty.

By temporarily providing basic food items, individuals who are facing financial difficulties don’t have to choose between feeding their family or paying their bills.

Our beneficiaries include disadvantaged families, school children and low-income individuals, whose needs have been increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fresh Meals
Our volunteers prepare fresh meals in-house, which are then chilled, ready for distribution.

Grocery Bags
Non-perishable goods are donated by community members and supermarkets, and sorted at the One Vision Hub, which are then delivered by our volunteer drivers.

Referrals and donations
Support is provided to all that need temporary relief from food insecurity. The Women’s Centre, Social Subscribers, Housing providers, the Police and care professionals identify individuals that need a helping hand, and refer them to our Food Programme.  Our food operation is run from the One Vision Hub, which is open six days a week. Donations from our community are received during this time, and our kitchen team use some donated ingredients to prepare fresh meals. Grocery bags are delivered twice per week, and freshly prepared meals are delivered daily from Monday to Saturday.

Other local support organizations
Ending food poverty is and will continue to be a challenging task. We work alongside other support organisations to ensure that we have the best chance of lasting support and change. This task would be impossible without the contributions from organisations that help those in need of food in times of crisis. They include:

  • Central Gurdwara London
  • The Co-op
  • Morrisons
  • ASDA
  • Marks & Spencer
  • Flourish Bakery
  • FareShare
